Spotted this on BBC Sport the other day :

Own 1/50000th Of A Football Club
There isn't much to add to the new article, which is worth a read. Cliffs are that fans never did get to pick the team, sorting transfers by vote was impractical because clubs didn't want the details in the open, people lost interest and now there are only 3500 paying members from a peak of 30,000. Several people involved at the start are now calling it "unworkable".
No surprise, but it doesn't give me a lot of pleasure to say "I was right", compared to usual anyway. At least they tried something different.
