QPR 0 West Brom 2

Not much to this one really. Rangers were always going to find it difficult against the champions elect missing Buzsaky, Agyemang, Vine, Hall and Stewart, but started reasonably well and had the better of the first half hour. Dexter Blackstock should probably have scored from Gareth Ainsworth's cross but Kiely managed to claw his header off the line. 10 minutes before half time Martin Rowlands was sent off for an ill-advised lunge on Jonathan Greening and from that point the visitors were always going to be too good. Do-Heon Kim nodded them into the lead from close range and, after Chris Brunt had smacked a marker onto the crossbar, he went one better with an excellent free kick into the top corner.

So their fans were able to celebrate, and why not, they deserved to win it definitely. Hopefully we will have some celebrating of our own to do this time next year.

Who do you fancy in the play-offs then?

I'm going for Palace, Southend and Stockport

Hmm. Def Palace in the Championship although I see they are 2.9 favourites on Betfair which looks about right.

Hard to say in the others. I'm funking for ABL (anyone but Leeds) in L1 because they deserve at least another season down there. I only realised today that they had given a written undertaking not to go to the courts about the 15 points, only to tear it up and do it anyway when they thought they needed them. Luckily the courts basically said "So you promised in writing not to bring this case ? GTFO".

Er, anyway. And maybe Darlo in League Two :-)

Sorry that the owls held on to foul up your relegation bet. I was going to point out when you made it that they had the easiest run in of any of the contenders but didn't want to post anything for reasons of superstition, jinxing etc. Palace are nailed on, Warnock in the premiership again, er, hurrah.

Yeah, Wednesday and Bolton both weaselled out of relegation to leave my season bets looking a bit sorry ! Scunthorpe going down was about the only one I won I think.
